As I was working on my next book and focusing on the gifts of the Spirit. I came upon this prayer and wanted to put it in my phone or someplace prominent, so that I would remember to invoke the Spirit to be with me each day. It is worth sharing. I call it the:
Enlightenment Prayer
Come Holy Spirit within me, give me wisdom and understanding, your Spirit of counsel and might, your Spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord today.
If you are a skeptic, tell the Holy Spirit you are a skeptic. He already knows it, but He then knows you believe enough to speak to Him, and He will speak to you.
Getting on the road to heaven is very easy to do. Just say this prayer. It takes less than 15 seconds.
If you make it a habit to say this prayer every morning, the Spirit will surely be with you each day.
